Types of Decks We Install
Pressure Treated Wood
Pressure treated wood is usually pine. The pine wood is placed in chambers that apply pressure to the wood and then seal it for protection. This process is one of the best for protecting traditional softwood boards and protects against decay. Compared to sealing and staining, pressure treating gets protection deeper into the boards.
Organic materials are susceptible to erosion therefore no amount of pressure treatment can make wood an inorganic material. In wet or oxygenated soil, few treatments can protect vulnerable wood from bacteria or fungi.
Pressure-treated wood usually has a lower price point, attracting those looking for a more budget-friendly solution. However, maintenance can be an issue since the material tends to warp, crack and rot over time, which leads to high maintenance costs.
Hardwood
These products include exotic hardwoods like Ipe, Mahogany and Tigerwood. Hardwood has a medium long-term value. These materials are designed to outperform softwood, but they are still susceptible to moisture and weathering from the elements and require ongoing maintenance.
Exotic hardwoods like Ipe, sometimes referred to as Brazilian Walnut, may have strength and durability thanks to their density, but they will quickly change from rich hues to silvery-gray when exposed to UV rays. These woods also tend to be even more expensive upfront than some composite and PVC decking products

Your contractor should gladly provide you with a copy of there Home Improvement Contractor License (HIC), and active and compliant General Liability and Workers Compensation Insurance upon request.
How do I pay for my deck project?
Normal processes to pay for your home improvement projects in Massachusetts require an initial deposit at the time of contract signing of 33%. There is an additional 17% deposit due at the time the project officially starts at your home and scheduled payments made during the duration of your full project build to completion.
